A botanical drug company in Brooklyn, New York
Remedi Therapeutix is developing standardized botanical drugs from rare, varin-rich cannabinoids: CBDV, CBGV and CBG. We grow them in living soil, concentrate them without solvents, and are preparing the studies the FDA’s botanical drug pathway requires.
The FDA botanical drug pathway, and where Remedi stands today.
Many families already look to cannabis when medicines fall short. What they can buy varies from jar to jar, and none of it has been through controlled trials.
The FDA’s botanical drug pathway is the way through. It reviews a whole-plant medicine as a complex mixture, without requiring one isolated molecule, as long as every batch is consistent and the trials succeed. Remedi is built around that standard, starting with the plant itself.

Rare-cannabinoid cultivars bred and grown in living organic soil at Royal Crown Farm.
HALO extraction concentrates the whole plant in one step, with no solvents, water or ice.
Computational models help choose cannabinoid and terpene ratios for specific brain targets.
Independent preclinical studies measure brain delivery and target engagement before any human study.
Four programs built on our CBDV-, CBGV- and CBG-rich cultivars. All are at the discovery stage; none has been tested in people.
Targets and timelines may change as research progresses. Remedi Oil 001 is an investigational formulation: it is not for sale, has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not available to patients.
A botanical drug is a medicine made from plant material rather than one purified molecule. The FDA has approved four.
To join them, a product must be consistent from batch to batch, which starts with controlled genetics and growing conditions, and it must succeed in the same phased trials as any new drug. For rare conditions, orphan drug designation can support the work.

Remedi works within a family of companies and research partners. Each does one part of the work, so every batch we study can be traced from seed to result.
Breeds and grows the CBG- and CBDV-rich cultivars in living organic soil.
Turns that material into standardized formulations and runs the studies.
An academic laboratory for Phase 0, and pharma partners as programs advance.
Remedi’s sister company and source of every plant we study.
Holds the patent for HALO, the one-step solventless process that concentrates the whole plant with no solvents, water or ice. Remedi uses HALO under license.
Tests each cultivar batch by batch. Certificates of analysis are shared with research partners under a mutual NDA.
Co-designing the Phase 0 studies: brain delivery, target engagement and seizure models. We will name our partner once the agreement is signed.
Every batch traces back to its cultivar, its bed and its harvest. That control is what the FDA asks a botanical drug to prove.
CBDV and CBGV are rare in most cannabis. Our cultivars are bred for them, and independent certificates confirm the levels.
HALO concentrates the whole plant in one step, keeping the lipids and terpenes that ice-water methods wash away.
Our process is designed around batch-to-batch consistency from the start, not added after a product exists.

News on our research and milestones, a few times a year.
Love, landrace genetics and the next generation of cannabinoid research: the stories of the three people behind Remedi Therapeutix, told in their own words.
“It dulled everything.”Tracey Lopa, co-founder, on her years of medication
In 2006 Tracey Lopa was diagnosed with unexplained, refractory epilepsy. For fourteen years she took the medicines she was prescribed, levetiracetam (Keppra®) and lamotrigine (Lamictal®). They held back her major seizures, but the fog they brought made it hard to be present with her children.
Her husband, Frank, went looking for another way. He sourced rare CBG White genetics from an organic farm in Ohio, grew the plants in living soil and developed a cryosift technique to make custom 52 mg CBGA sift capsules. Under her doctors’ supervision, Tracey gradually tapered off lamotrigine. Within three months she was seizure-controlled, which surprised her specialists and her father, an internist.
The next chapter came when Frank found and cultivated high-CBDV hemp. In Tracey’s experience, inhaled CBDV flower or vaporized concentrate stopped her seizure auras within a minute or two, and it brought balance to her mood, anxiety and stress.
Today Tracey has been seizure-free for more than six years. She drives again, travels, and is present for every moment with her family. Her experience is why she and Frank founded Remedi: to find out, with real science, whether what happened for her can be understood, measured and made available to others.
“We don’t cultivate cannabis. We cultivate people.”Frank Lopa, co-founder
Frank Lopa has spent more than thirty years in cultivation, landrace genetics and solventless extraction. Through Royal Crown Farms, he and his family have self-funded decades of work preserving rare cultivars and growing them in living organic soil, in conditions that mirror each plant’s native home.
His focus on high-CBDV and rare-cannabinoid hemp is personal too. Frank is extremely sensitive to THC and lives with chronic Lyme disease and inflammation, so he needed plants that offered relief without intoxication. That led to a hemp program grown to the standard of connoisseur flower, in aroma, flavor and structure.
To keep the whole plant intact, Frank built two processes of his own:

A one-step, whole-plant short-path process with no solvents, water or ice, in development since 2013. It concentrates native terpenes and plant lipids up to 20×.

Pure trichome-head separations that yield high-potency CBG and CBDV sifts.
“CBDV doesn’t get you high, but it adds joy, like feeling the beat drop in your favorite song.”Dr. Abraham Benavides, MD
I have evaluated top-shelf cannabis in four countries and a dozen U.S. states. When Frank called with unusual lab results and an invitation, I flew from Costa Rica to Staten Island for a two-week research visit. On arrival he handed me a single serving of CBG HALO oil. Within about three minutes I felt deeply relaxed, and that night I slept without my usual nightmares or jet lag. It felt like Charlie finding the golden ticket.
For five years I have lived with Long COVID, POTS and PTSD. Inhaling Royal Crown Farms’ whole-plant CBDV flower (es el cannabis del cielo) eased my flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, hypervigilance and racing heart, and left my mind clear for work, without the dry mouth, fog or side effects I know from THC.
When I went home, my symptoms came back. That is why I joined Remedi: what I felt in New York deserves rigorous study, and patients deserve to know whether it holds up.
